Director of External Affairs of Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation (ScII)

Key Action Areas and Responsibilities
We are looking for Director of the External Affairs to help CSII (School of Integrated Innovation) further our mission to create the strongest and most diversified Partnership ecosystem in ASEAN.
Reporting to CSII Deputy Executive Director for Industrial and Global Alliances (“DED-IGA”), as the Director/Head of External Affairs office, you will be a key player towards 3 Key Objectives:

1.    Industry and Academic Partnership management and development (est. 50%-time allocation of selected resource)
2.    Internships, Careers and Alumni engagement (est. 20%-time allocation of selected resource)
3.    Grants, Donations (including scholarships), Consulting projects (est. 30%-time allocation of selected resource)

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•    Pertaining to Objective 1

o    Identify, screen, and evaluate potential partnership opportunities for CSII.
o    Negotiate partnership with local and International Industry and Academic Partners.
o    Maintain and Manage existing CSII Industry and Academic partnerships.
o    Together with CSII DED-IGA, serve as the main point of contact for all matters relating to the strategic partnership and liaison with the Academic and Industry Partners, as well as other internal units of Chulalongkorn.
o    Engage in collaborative educational endeavors including Exchange programs, experiential projects and study trips, and master’s degree bridging with Academic Partners.
o    Engage in Industry projects including but limited to: Capstone Projects for Senior Students, Internship experience, and Student scholarship.

•    Pertaining to Objective 2

o    Oversee BAScii students in career planning and career development and prepare them for sustaining interviews with industries and building up their resume.
o    Organize career fairs, career events, workshops, and training courses for BAScii students’ talent development and career development.
o    Ensure diverse job opportunities being offered from Industry partners to BAScii students.
o    Build an alumni affiliation channel, for BAScii students to connect with ScII alumni.

•    Pertaining to Objective 3

o    Secure funding opportunities in the form of grants, donations, equipment donations, and scholarships from Industry Partners.
o    Actively conduct outreach towards Industry partners and administrate consulting projects, to gauge consulting engagements in a continuous fashion and commercialize ScII innovations.
o    Accountable for consulting projects’ management in coordination with relevant units of Chulalongkorn University.

Who we are looking for:
•    At least, Bachelor's degree (preferably from top 300 university in QS Rank) in Management, Business Administration or related fields, with 7-8 years of managerial experience in academic institutions, management consulting, or international corporate OR
•    Master’s degree (preferably from top 300 university in QS Rank) in Management, Business Administration or related fields, with 4 years of managerial experience in academic institutions, management consulting, or international corporate.
•    Required excellent English speaking and writing skills, with emphasis on strong written, verbal, presentation & persuasion skills.  
•    Preferred either Thai or Chinese professional speaking and writing (preferably both languages).
•    Preferred Thai OR Chinese speaking and writing skills (intermediate to professional level).
•    Mandatory experience in an international environment, preferably a multinational organization with offices in Asia-Pacific.
•    Excellent time and workload management skills, ability to prioritize, ability to work independently, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task and meet established deadlines. This job normally requires availability in the evening and weekend, for meetings or events on campus or in the Bangkok Metropolitan Area; business travelling overseas when requested.
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•    Willing to take initiatives with a can-do attitude.
•    Passionate about people and people development.
•    Team player.

Compensation & Benefits
•    The successful candidate will be offered a base monthly salary within the range  THB 79,395 – 98,823 gross salary per month negotiable based on academic qualifications, international exposure, and relevant experience.

•    Cost associated with employment document e.g., Non-B visa and work permit (Reimbursable)
•    Housing Allowance (20% of basic salary but not exceeding THB 40,000/month)
•    50% health insurance subsidies for a spouse and dependent children (limit of two children)
